Form Filler can automatically detect text fields to fill in your scanned form picture. You can add text, checkmarks, stamp images, print filled form, save project for further use or save you form as PDF or fillable PDF form document.

This tutorial shows how to start work with Bytescout Form Filler, open a scanned form and detect text fields.

Download Bytescout Form Filler and install it on your PC. Having run the program, you will see the main editor window of Form Filler:

Click the editor field or Open project button on the toolbar to select the picture of scanned form you want to fill in:

Scanned form image can also be opened using File menu | Open or buttons combination Ctrl+Shift+O.

Select scanned form picture file and click Open button. Bytescout Form Filler helps you to fill in forms saved in any image file types (JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF etc.) You can also open saved project of form (*.bff file):

After opening scanned form picture, you will be offered to automatically detect text fields to fill, remove noise and rotate image. Tick off necessary items and click Proceed, or click No, Thanks to refuse. All these tools are also available under Tools menu.

You can also scan your form to be filled directly using software. Bytescout Form Filler will convert the scanned form into fillable form automatically. Click File | Scan Image | Acquire on the toolbar to scan your form:

Your scanned form picture will be opened in the main editor window. In the next picture you can see scanned form opened with Bytescout Form Filler. This form is ready for editing – one can fill in text fields, add checkmarks and insert pictures if needed.

Bytescout Form Filler allows you to automatically detect text fields to fill. Use AutoFind Fields to Fill button which helps you to find text fields automatically.

After using AutoFind Fields to Fill option, the program will recognize text fields to fill and you will see fields with “type text here”. Just click one of these fields to start filling it.
