PDF form from form document in Form Filler
Bytescout Form Filler is software for easy filling in scanned forms. You can use ready scanned form picture or scan paper form directly using software. Form Filler automatically converts scanned hardcopy paper form into fillable form. Form Filler can automatically detect text fields to fill. You can add text, checkmarks, stamp images, print filled form, save project for further use or save you form as PDF or fillable PDF form document. Download Bytescout Form Filler and install it on your PC. This tutorial gives you step-by-step instructions for creating text fields in your scanned form and filling them in. It also shows how to save your filled form as PDF or fillable PDF form document. ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS/FORMS INFORMATION: To use Word, PDF or Excel or any other electronic document just install our freeware SWF Printer Pro virtual printer and print document to "SWF Printer Pro" (will appear in Printers as a virtual printer) and it will save printed document as JPEG image files that you can use as input for Form Filler Text fields to fill can be created in two ways in Form Filler. You can create fields manually or let Form Filler to detect them for you automatically. To find fillable fields automatically, use AutoFind Fields to Fill button on the toolbar.
After using AutoFind Fields to Fill option, the program will recognize text fields to fill and you will see fields with “type text here”. You can see a form with auto-detected fields to fill in the picture below.
To fill in your form, just left-click one of the auto-detected
text fields and type in text using keyboard. In the next picture
you can see how we type the name in the first line of our
application form which was detected as a text field to fill
in. To create a field manually, left-click any place of your
scanned form picture. You will see a box of active text field
in which you can type your text. The fields can be moved both before and after entering text (hold left mouse button to drag and drop a field). Text can be edited at any time, font style and size can also be changed whenever you want. Font settings menu is on the toolbar. You can select font name, font size and font style to fill your form in the best way. Font settings are applied to each text field separately.
There is one more way to change font. Right-click a text field and you’ll see a text field menu. Choose Change Font menu-item to open Font settings window.
To remove text field from a form, you can a) right-click
text field and click Remove menu-item of a text field menu;
b) select text field with a left-click and press Remove button
on the toolbar. A form edited in Bytescout Form Filler can be saved as a
fillable PDF Form using File \ Save as PDF Form: Saved fillable PDF Form can be viewed with Adobe Reader. In the picture below you can see our application form saved as PDF Form and opened with Adobe Reader. The fields which were edited in Bytescout Form Filler are highlighted with color.
Filling form with Adobe Reader: you can fill out your form in Adobe Reader, but you can’t save data typed in it (Adobe Reader limitation). You can also edit the text entered in Bytescout Form Filler and delete checkmarks you’ve added. You can apply changes only to the fields edited in Form Filler. If you need a copy of the form filled with Adobe Reader, print it or else you will miss your data.
