How to setup account
for your WordPress blog
Post2Blog is a
desktop blogging client. You can add new posts, manage existing posts in different
blogs of various types including WordPress
Post2Blog provides full support for
the WordPress engine and you can create an account to add new posts,
manage existing posts in your WordPress blog using Post2Blog
This quick start tutorial will show how to setup an account in
Post2Blog to start posting and manage your posts in WordPress blog.
Run Post2Blog
Go to File menu and click New item
in Account sub-menu:

The New Account Wizard will start. Select Existing
blog and click Next

Select the WordPress blog
type and click Next

Now enter the full link to your
WordPress blog. If your WordPress blog is located in the sub-folder
then don't forget to enter full link to the blog. This link should
open your blog.
Then click Next to continue

The account wizard will ask to review and confirm the link to XML-RPC interface
that is used to connect to WordPress blog. You shouldn't change
this if you don't know what it mean
Click Next to continue

Now you should enter the username you
use to access your WordPress blog (the same as you use to login
into WordPress's
administration panel). Common username is admin
Then click Next to continue

Change connection proxy settings if needed. If you don't know what it mean
then don't change anything.
Click Next to continue

The next page is used to setup how to upload images and files used
in your post to the server. In most cases you can use uploading
via blog option:

IMPORTANT NOTE: make
sure that Allow File Uploads options
is enabled in
WordPress administration panel. Check this link on WordPress web-site to
find more about this option: http://codex.wordpress.org/Miscellaneous_Options_SubPanel#Allow_File_Uploads
Commonly used folder for images and files uploading is ../wp-content/. Make
sure attributes of this folder are 755 (read
and execute) or even 777.
You can change attributes of folder using FTP manager or File Manager
in cPanel (if you use cPanel) or using CHMOD command for FTP.
File uploading feature is great however there is an alternative

Click Next to continue an account
setup
Enter title for the new account. This title will be used to identify
the account in the list of accounts. Click Next to
finish the wizard

Now click Finished to close
the wizard

Post editor window will appear and new account will be automatically selected in the list of available accounts:

To make new post just compose new post and click Post
As Draft or Post And Publish or
click Most Recent Post to edit most recent post in the blog.
