How to convert a flash (SWF) animation movie into AVI video with transparency (32-bit RGBA with alpha channel) using SWF To Video Scout Pro and then import generated AVI into Adobe Premiere project

This page contains step-by-step tutorial that will show how to use SWF To Video Scout PRO to convert flash into RGBA AVI video.

Files used in this tutorial: source SWF file: circles.swf (1kb); Generated 32-bit RGBA AVI video: circles_avi.zip (200 KB)

First download and install SWF To Video Scout PRO

Click "Open" button to open flash movie you want to convert into 32-bit RGBA AVI video:

Open dialog will appear. Select flash movie file:

Program will open and play flash movie so you can review it before conversion:

To start conversion of SWF flash movie into RGBA AVI video click "Convert to RGBA AVI with Alpha"


Program will ask if you want to add flash movie to Favorites automatically. Answer Yes to continue:


SWF to RGBA AVI video conversion wizard will start. Click Next to continue:

Confirm input SWF flash movie filename and output 32-RGBA AVI output video filename and click Next:

Select Output Resolution and click Next:

Program will convert flash movie into video with Alpha channel and will ask if you want to open produced .avi video file in Windows Explorer:

Now we have 32-RGBA Circles.AVI video file generated from Circles.swf flash movie.
We will import this video into Adobe Premiere
Use File | Import command to import .AVI rgba video into Adobe Premiere project:


Open Circles.AVI video file and this video will be added into Adobe Premiere project:

Now you can see Circles.AVI on project timeline:

You can preview resulted video and see that Circles.AVI with alpha layer background and circles with alpha layers are merged succesfully with Sunset video:
